How can spreadsheets and databases be used to address different learning goals?
Spreadsheets can be used in education for presenting numerical and scientific data as well as being used for students to analyze and better understand information in social studies. Statistical information is used prominently in the form of databases so it is important to inform and educate students on not only how to read data in this form but also how to present data this way.
Good point about students need to read and present data in spreadsheets.
ReplyDeleteSpreadsheets are great for visual learners because it shows ideas as to how math terms are used. When these terms are displayed in graphs, charts, and on spreadsheets the information is stored and the student can manipulate it to their needs. A picture says a thousands words.
